Bioenergetics is the study of energy within a biological system. The multitude of ways in which the human body can create and expend this energy is directly related to health, performance, and recovery. During this full-day workshop, participants will gain a proper understanding of the ATP pathways and the unique way that each of these pathways produces energy to meet the demands of exercise. This course will also explore the mechanisms of acute and chronic inflammation, their dependency upon energy expenditure, and the physiological differences of overreaching versus overtraining. This course is designed to explore the appropriate metabolic and oxidative stressors that can aid in the recovery and progress of patients and clients.
